As a child immigrant from Odesa Ukraine, Alice has a strong sense of the intangible meaning of home and community and has always appreciated the warm welcome her family received when settling in Brookline in the late 80s. Her experience has guided her desire to help others find sanctuary, most recently being involved with Welcome NST in helping a family escape the current war in Ukraine, as well as assisting other non-profits on the ground with animal rescue. Her community involvement extends to multiple organizations, such as Community Servings, MARE, MSPCA, Sowa Goat Sanctuary, and more.
